Manager’s report - Mike Brett

Casualty patients turned up today to represent Tameside.1. Jim carrying a leg injury. Playing just to get 7 on the sheet.2. Myself out with achiles injury, put myself on the team sheet as cover.3. Les was carrying a hernia, coping.4. Martyn struggling with a back problem5. Eric, with the ankle injury he has been carrying for months
Jim had 2 touches of the ball and had to come.off. Fortunately he had scored with his first touch. Hung on for 1-0 win.Drew 0-0 with Rochdale
Went a goal down against Wakefield,  then Martyn hurt his back and couldn't continue. So I had to go on and limp around for the rest of the game. Lost 0-1
Unfortunately I had been stupid to play, as I aggravated the achilles tendon and couldn't play.So for the last game, rather than play a man short Martyn said he could stand around at the back so Pete Jarvis moved into midfield. Worked out quite well with Les stepping up to score the winning goalSo 2 wins 1 draw 1 loss.
