Captains report.
Reporting on another day of what could and should have been. 3 nil nils and one defeat doesn't reflect the domination we had in terms of possession and chances created, but just couldn't score.
1. Against Rochdale, Drew 0-0, we blunted their attacking threat. Didn't give Terry a kick (well, not of the ball) Rochdale were just hanging on at the end.
2. Against Bolton, lost 0-1, the amazing thing was the penalty was the only shot they had. Ill discipline and some good goalkeeping was our undoing.
3. Against Panthers 0-0. It was a more even game, but again, we had the chances to win it.
4. Against league leaders Ribble Valley 0-0. We pinned them back and created 6 or 7 chances missed or saved, one particular save from a Les blockbuster was remarkable. Still it was a fantastic effort, played some wonderful football, as acknowledged by the referee.
Big thanks to Steve Moss and Tony Sutton for stepping in and helping out. It is desperately disappointing when you don't win, but at the age we are it is hugely satisfying to play the sort of football we did today. Hopefully, next time with some just rewards
